Here, ice and frost form, causing damage to your roof structure. Moisture can also saturate insulation, promoting fungal decay and plywood delamination.

The Solar Star attic fan has a whisper quiet motor, and a lightweight polymeric fan blade and integral exhaust screen that minimize motor resistance and are non-corrosive. No costly electrical hookups are needed because it's powered by a built-in photovoltaic power source.

Installation: The unit comes fully assembled and installs in less than 30 minutes with stainless steel mounting screws and leak-proof, seamless, one-piece flashing. Place the unit where it is most effective: the highest point on the roof. Three models are available depending on the orientation and construction of your roof:

Low Profile: This sleek, unobtrusive design is suitable for most roof applications.
Pitched: Recommended for north-facing roofs where improved exposure to the sun is needed. Ideal for tile roofs when used with the self-flashing Tile Roof Add-on Kit (sold separately).
High Profile: Recommended for locations with heavy snow loads. Can also be used for tile roofs when "mudding in" is preferred. Discreet, aerodynamic design.
