The Boss: All purpose Interior/Exterior Transparent Sealer

The Boss is an all-purpose, transparent oil-based waterproofing sealer made from natural, non-toxic vegetable oils and resins, as well as other natural ingredients. Suitable for many interior and exterior uses. Low-odor, water-reducible, nonflammable, and free of harmful fungicides.

It does not just adhere to the wood, but actually penetrates and creates a monolithic bond, in a process called “molecular compatibility.” After The Boss dries, it is nearly impossible to release this bond.

The Boss creates long-term dimensional stabilization and reduces damage due to climatic conditions. The small amount of pigment in some formulas provides U.V. protection. It also protects against mold and mildew damage.

Tints: The Boss is available in 4 transparent formulas: clear, brown tint, golden tint, and reddish tint. The brown formula is especially elegant on red cedar. The golden tint is commonly used on lighter toned woods such as pine, oak, and light cedar. They can also be blended to obtain a customized tint.

Recommended Uses:

Interior wood, including furniture, paneling, cabinets, molding, ceilings, walls, floors, and windows.
Exterior wood, including fences and siding, playground equipment and gazebos, and hot tubs and spas.
Exterior cloth, such as awnings, camping equipment, tarps, and canvas.

Coverage and instructions: Average coverage is 50-150 sq. ft. per gallon per application, depending on surface porosities, application procedures, and climatic conditions. Three coats are required on most surfaces to obtain maximum protection. For a lighter tone, apply 1 coat of tinted formula and 2 coats of clear finish. For a darker tint, apply 2 coats of tinted formula and 1 coat of clear finish. May be applied by pre-dipping, spraying or by roller.
