Deck Boss Transparent Sealer
Deck Boss is a natural, water reducible oil-based sealant. It penetrates deep into the cells of wood, creating a monolithic bond. Deck Boss is made with natural ingredients that bond with wood in a process called "molecular compatibility." It is nearly impossible to release this bond. Deck Boss also creates long-term dimensional stabilization and reduces damage due to climatic conditions. Deck Boss contains sunscreens, trans-oxides and stabilizers that provide U.V. protection. Deck Boss is a low-VOC finish, with a negligible odor. Tints: Four different formulas are available: clear, brown tint, golden tint, and reddish tint. They can also be blended to obtain a customized tint. The brown formula is especially elegant on red cedar. The golden tint is commonly used on lighter toned woods such as pine, oak, and light cedar. Recommended Uses: Exterior wood: decks, railings, fencing, etc. Coverage and instructions: Average coverage is 50-150 sq. ft. per gallon per application, depending on surface porosity and climatic conditions. To obtain maximum protection, a minimum of three coats is recommended on most decks. For a lighter tone, apply 1 coat of tinted formula and 2 coats of clear finish. For a darker tint, apply 2 coats of tinted formula and 1 coat of clear finish. May be applied by pre-dipping, spraying or by roller. To renovate old decks: sink nails and replace damaged wood, sand, pressure wash, and apply Deck Boss. What Makes it Green? Deck Boss does not contain any dangerous ingredients, such as folpet [N (trichloromethylthio) phthalimide], bis (tributyltin) oxide, copper naphthenate, copper 8 quinolinolate, or zinc naphthenate.VOC content: 90-145.4 g/liter. |
